Toro Introduces Z Master® G3 Commercial Series Mowers
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (October 25, 2010) - Toro® Z Master® G3 Commercial Series mowers represent the latest additions to Toro's zero-turn mower lineup. The new models are focused on providing landscape contractors more benefits in an affordable package.
Equipped with Toro's exclusive TURBO FORCE® cutting deck in widths of 48 and 52 inches, the mowers include 9 3/8-inch diameter cast iron spindle housings to absorb impact loads. They also feature Kawasaki® engines from 20- to 24-hp*, allowing the machines to travel at speeds up to 8 mph.
“We know that in many cases, these machines will serve as the primary commercial units for our customers, so it's critical they deliver impressive, commercial-grade results plus an outstanding value,” explains Scott Wozniak, senior marketing manager for Toro.
The new models are designed with a low center of gravity, as well as enhanced hillside stability and traction for better control and less “crabbing.” The height-of-cut (HOC) system gives operators 1.5- to 4-1/2-inch cuts in 1/4-inch increments and is designed with clear, easy-to-read settings, a single-point setting calibration and a keyhole-style pin. The HOC system's flexible transport lock allows professionals to feather the deck over uneven terrain.
"Like every other piece of landscape contractor equipment we build, Z Master G3 Commercial Series mowers are backed by a five-year/1,200-hour limited warranty, two-year commercial engine warranty and lifetime frame warranty,” says Wozniak. “When it comes to service, parts, and warranty coverage, nobody does it better than Toro, and we plan to keep it that way.
This new generation of Z Master zero-turn mowers includes Toro's revolutionary TURBO FORCE cutting deck, and all Commercial Series models are equipped with the patented adjustable baffle that allows landscape professionals to fine-tune their cutting performance in order to conquer changing seasons or turf conditions without sacrificing quality or efficiency. The fully-welded, fabricated shell of the TURBO FORCE deck is constructed of high-strength, 7-gauge steel and includes the industry's toughest spindle assemblies to absorb impact loads and distribute them across a broader area of the robust deck shell. The deck's “bull-nose” front bumper is designed with a raised leading edge, keeping grass upright for a crisp, level cut, and an integral underskirt that minimizes blowout.
