Toro Launches New Heavy-Duty Reelmaster® 7000
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (February 8, 2011) Toro brings a new level of performance, power and productivity to its Reelmaster® lineup with the new Reelmaster® 7000. This multi-purpose, heavy-duty reel mower offers a powerful engine, high-torque reel motors and enhanced cooling for optimal performance in the most extreme fairway and rough conditions. In addition, the Reelmaster 7000 can dramatically increase productivity as golf courses prepare for overseeding.
The Reelmaster 7000 is equipped with a 49-hp Kubota engine, as well as the SmartCool™ auto-reversing fan that intermittently blows debris off the air intake screen to keep the engine cool. High-torque reel motors allow the unit to power through tough jobs, resulting in greater productivity.
Following in the footsteps of other Toro reel mowers, the Reelmaster 7000 also offers Toro's dual precision adjustment (DPA) cutting units, which manicures turf with a cut as low as .25 of an inch. These units are easy to adjust, have fewer adjustments, and hold adjustments longer - saving time and simplifying maintenance. They also maintain a constant cutting-edge position for improved quality of cut and outstanding after-cut appearance.
With a five-gang design, the Reelmaster 7000 offers a 121-inch width of cut. It has a wider swath than a standard five-gang fairway mower, so operators can cut more grass in less time. “Today's customers are more focused on productivity, because they're working with fewer operators and machines,” notes Grant Young, senior product marketing manager at Toro. “The multi-function Reelmaster 7000 gives them a more versatile, efficient option for fairways, roughs, and overseeding - especially in southern grass conditions.”
The Reelmaster 7000 will be available in the spring of 2011, replacing the Reelmaster 4000. Additional features include a premium seat with air-ride suspension and an ergonomic control arm for greater all-day comfort and productivity. An optional overlap configuration with 32-inch rear cutting units is also available. For more information on the new Reelmaster 7000, as well as other Toro equipment and parts, visit www.toro.com
